What a night this was at this Sold Out annual mini music festival! With a stacked Lineup this year’s Deck The Hall Ball was a huge event as always, but with Mumford & Sons, Cage the Elephant, Foster the People, Young the Giant, Two Door Cinema Club, Grouplove and of course the Washington locals Death Cab for Cutie, this wasn’t your ordinary concert. Let Review shall we…

Twas the 7th of December and all through Key Arena, people were rocking, even a mouse. Or something like that. Grouplove and Young the People had a lot going for them with high energy solid performances. Two Door Cinema Club is always a good time for a kick ass groove. Foster the People had the people on the move. Death Cab for Cutie set the mood.

Highlight of the night was Cage the Elephant who stole the show with their hard rocking and stage diving set. At one point the lead singer Matt Shultz told the crowd that if he gets knocked unconscious when he is stage diving then to just keep passing his body along throughout the show even through the other acts sets until the show was over. Funny guy who rocks out. BOOM. Check out this little ditty right here.

In One Ear – Cage The Elephant – Deck The Hall Ball

Crowd calmed down slightly for Death Cab’s set but still showing lots of love. When Mumford and Sons finally came on stage at 10 o clock the place went crazy. If you weren’t there you should have been. See for yourself.

Mumford and Sons – Roll Away Your Stone -  Seattle Deck the Hall Ball

Don’t ask me why all these new hip bands have the word “the” in the middle of their group name because I don’t know. What I do know is everyone had a ball! Thanks to: The End, AEG, Key Arena, Mumford and Sons, Cage the Elephant, Foster the People, Young the Giant, Two Door Cinema Club, Grouplove and Death Cab for Cutie!

Seattle’s very own Gatsbys American Dream, finally came to their senses and announced their reunion a few months back on their new twitter page. I have been waiting for this one for a few years now and based on their two new single releases, I think it was well worth it. What do you think?

2012 is going to fucking suck. it's just the law of diminishing returns. we've been in decline since people stopped doing coke in the 90's.
